About Me
I am a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor having obtained a BSc in integrative counselling and psychotherapy from IICP college. I have also obtained certifications from PCI college in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity. My experience includes working in person at Genesis Psychotherapy and the Village Counselling Service dealing with a range of issues including anxiety, stress, anger, self-esteem, family and relationship issues and domestic abuse and I have also worked with clients online.
My Approach
My goal is to foster a warm, supportive, and safe environment where you feel valued, heard, and comfortable working with me. Therapy can help us to overcome trauma and negative feelings and experiences and to begin to feel good about ourselves and to explore how me may wish to grow and flourish in a way unique to us.
I recognize that every individual's journey is unique, and as such, there is no single "correct" way to work with clients. I integrate person-centred therapy with choice theory, placing a strong emphasis on building a positive client-therapist relationship while exploring how the choices we make can impact our well-being and personal fulfillment.
My approach is similar to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but avoids a rigid structure.Instead, I prioritize flexibility and adaptability, allowing sessions to flow naturally and respond effectively to your unique needs.
